''What some people don't realize is that it's not the others killing, but everyone working together to kill themselves.''

Now, in the modern world everyone is getting the blame for something. Nobody likes stepping up and claiming that they are responsible unless it's for their own benefit. The biggest problem now, in our current time is the planet we are living on, planet Earth. Many, many places around the world are filled with pollution and sicknesses all caused by nobody but themselves. Everyone is working together, whether they realize it or not, to kill each other. Everyday we use new creations we don't even consider harmful, yet those objects are what's killing generations of all species to come. Now by simple things, I mean objects such as plastic bag, plastic straws and cans. My intention as a young mind of today, is to change the world so that everyone to come can live on this beautiful Earth we get to know, and not some junk land their great grandma created for them. I want to help people understand that reuse, reduce and recycle should be considered every time you do something. The harsh reality may shock you, or it may not, but with the technology available in our current time it's easier then ever to pave the road for everyone, and everything to come!

Quick facts about the environment:

-There is over 275 metric ton of plastic waste on the Earth.

-The United States of America make about about 5% of the worlds population, yet causes 30% of the waste.

-North Americans throw away approximately 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour.

-Just in the United States, 208 municipal pounds of waste is produced a year. That equals out to about 4.3 pounds of waste from each person every day.

-For the first 6 months of a child's life in Canada, they have used more resources then any person in a developing country.

Things we are doing right:

-Recycling glass. With recycling only 1 ton of glass, it saves about 9 gallons of fuel oil.

-Starting to reuse plastic bags. Ever seen those boxes at Walmart or the Super Store for your old plastic bags? That's a great start but let's find more ways to reuse them!

-Finding new ways to use milk bags! Now that we are starting to recycle milk bags, that's another thing not going to the landfill. Also, it benefits the less fortunate because they are being made into beds!

-Best of all, everyday more and more people are taking initiative for making our world a more beautiful place!
